MapTiler

MapTiler is a mapping platform providing map styles and vector/raster tiles. Connecting a MapTiler key lets ALIGN use MapTiler styles as basemaps for your maps.

A connected MapTiler key unlocks MapTiler basemaps: bring MapTiler styles through Add Data → Basemap, and they become available to the Basemap switcher widget so your end-users can flip between the basemaps you curated.

How to get the key

MapTiler uses a single API key.

  1. Sign in at the MapTiler Cloud keys page.
  2. Copy your API key, or create a new one.
  3. For a key used on published maps, add the allowed origins in MapTiler so it only works from your domains.
  4. In ALIGN, go to Dashboard → Integrations and paste the key for MapTiler.

Your key stays yours

The MapTiler key is stored on your ALIGN account and resolved at runtime. It never enters the map document: a map you save, publish or share carries no credential. ALIGN also ships keyless open basemaps, so a map works without any provider key.
