Terrain

Adds a 3D relief toggle to the map. The elevation comes from AWS Open Data Terrain Tiles, a free worldwide elevation dataset (no key, no account needed); you decide how pronounced the relief looks with the exaggeration setting.

Tip: relief reads best on a tilted camera — combine it with the 2D / 3D control so end-users can tilt the view.

Parameter What it does
Terrain on by default The relief is already active when end-users open the map.
Exaggeration Vertical scaling of the relief, from 0.5× (subtle) to 3× (dramatic).
End-users can adjust exaggeration Shows a small slider next to the widget while the relief is on. Their adjustment stays local to their session.
Position The map corner the widget button lives in.

A mountain button in the corner you picked. One click turns the 3D relief on or off; if you allowed it, a slider appears beside the button to adjust the exaggeration for their session. Your published configuration never changes.
