Supabase

Supabase is a managed backend platform built on PostgreSQL — with the PostGIS spatial extension, authentication, storage and edge functions. Connecting Supabase gives an application you build a real database of its own.

Connecting your Supabase account unlocks the database capability of the App Builder: from the Data Sources panel you can

  • link your Supabase account,
  • pick an existing project or create a new database, which deploys a managed Postgres + PostGIS instance for your app,
  • and manage the connected project, including its edge functions.

This is the simplest way to give your application a spatial database it can read from and write to. Full details are on the Data and databases page.

Supabase connects through OAuth — there is no key to copy.

  1. In ALIGN, go to Dashboard → Integrations and click Connect on the Supabase card.
  2. Authorize ALIGN in the Supabase window that opens (database read/write access).
  3. Back in an App Builder project, open the Data Sources panel to create or link a project.

The Supabase connection is stored on your ALIGN account and scoped to what it is for. It is never written into a saved app, an export, or anything you share. Your database and its data remain yours, in standard PostgreSQL — no lock-in.
